Prof. George Tsatsaronis, EXCELLEND’s ERA Chair Holder, was invited to deliver a lecture at the Regulatory Authority for Waste, Energy and Water (RAAEY) in Athens on 24 September 2025.

The presentation, entitled “Decarbonization, Hydrogen Economy, and Power-to-X”, was attended by approximately 40 participants from RAAEY. The lecture focused on the role of hydrogen as an energy carrier, the potential of Power-to-X technologies, and their contribution to achieving deep decarbonization across energy systems.

The event provided an opportunity for knowledge exchange between academic research and regulatory practice, fostering dialogue on how evidence-based policy can support the energy transition. Such interactions are essential for aligning technological developments with regulatory frameworks and ensuring the effective implementation of sustainable energy strategies.
